Good News Clubs
- We pray Lord that SBUSD would allow us to advertise our clubs through their newsletters so more kids can attend clubs. We also pray that SBUSD would waive custodial fees in all the schools where we have clubs.
- Thank you Lord that we are able to apply early to some of our other school districts as well. We pray for club approvals before Fall so we can concentrate on training and club preparations.
- Roosevelt – Thank you Lord that Roosevelt School offered us the MPR again this year at the classroom price.
- Washington – Lord, we pray for a new director for the Washington Club, or that you would free up Leiah’s schedule so she can volunteer again.
- Hope – We pray that in the fall, a classroom would become available and that the principal would welcome the Hope club without a fight. We pray for the support of a Christian teacher.
- Vieja Valley – Lord, we pray that the Vieja Valley GNC would again be able to meet in the library, and that the Mormon kids would come back to hear God’s Word from the Bible. Lord, we pray for an additional volunteer in this club.
- Cleveland – We praise you that Cleveland School GNC has already been approved for the upcoming school year. We also pray for new volunteers for this club in the fall, as Pam and Steve are not able to volunteer.
- Solvang – Lord, Thank you Lord that the Christian teacher is allowing this club to meet in her classroom again, but on a different day, May even more kids be able to attend GNC now.
- Lord, give the GNC volunteers rest and refreshment so they will be ready to serve in GNCs in the fall. We ask that you provide new volunteers in the clubs that need them, and that new clubs would open next year.
- We continue to pray for the parents of our GNC kids and other parents – that they would have the urgency that the kids know the Lord.
5-Day Clubs
- Thank you Lord for the Lompoc 5-Day Club. We praise you that seven children gave their lives to the Lord during the week. Lord, please help these children to grow in their faith, and that more children would give their lives to you even now that camp has finished.
- Thank you Lord that volunteers in the Lompoc club who needed new background checks were able to be cleared quickly and were able to serve on the second day of camp. Thank you for the spirit of unity that took place in this club.
- Thank you Lord for Carpinteria Baptist Church’s 5-Day Club and for the 22 children who were enrolled in this club.
- Praise for high school helpers at the Carpinteria club.
- Thank you Lord for the many volunteers who have helped make these two 5-day clubs possible. Give energy to Sharon, Ana, Marina, Lisa, and all the volunteers during this week.
Other CEF prayers:
- Lord, thank you for our dedicated board. Grant them rest during this summer.
- Lord, help Sharon and Ana as they reach out to pastors. Give pastors the desire to partner with CEF and to send us new volunteers so we can start new clubs and keep our current clubs running.
*** CEF runs a special time of prayer for our ministries every Tuesday morning from 6:30-7:15am on Zoom. You are invited to participate by e-mailing Marina King for the Zoom link. Thank you, and we hope to see you there!
