Good News Clubs
- SBUSD: Lord, we ask you to please soften the hearts of the superintendent and business office and have them waive all custodial fees. We thank you for the small discount granted, but we don’t need custodial services and pray they would be eliminated.
- GUSD: Thank you Lord that all schools in Goleta Union School District have been approved. We pray that ParentSquare announcements, flyers, and signs sill bring in many children who need to know the Lord.
- Adams School: Lord, we pray that Adams School will be approved soon and that a room will be assigned so we can get flyers out.
- Roosevelt – Thank you Lord that Roosevelt School offered us the MPR again this year at the classroom price. Lord, we pray that the GNC yard signs Sharon is putting near the school will remain there and not get stolen. We pray new children would come to club as a result of the signs and flyer distribution.
- Washington – Lord, we continue to pray for a new club director for the Washington Club, and that all the other volunteers on this team would continue there so more kids can know you Lord.
- Hollister – Two kids from this club went to Calvary Baptist Church this past week. We pray for Bonnie as she meets for her club team to prepare for the year.
- Cleveland – Lord, we pray that you would work it out so this club runs this year. We pray that the day of the week can be changed and accommodated by the school, that volunteers would be available, and that children would come even though it won’t be a short school day.
- Hope – We pray that Sharon would find a teacher to host the club inside their classroom so they don’t have to be outside anymore. May many children attend the club this year. Thank you for the strong team running the club.
- Brandon: We pray for additional volunteers in the Brandon Club.
- Solvang – Lord, Thank you that this club has been approved and that there are plenty of volunteers. We pray that many children would come now that the club will run on Tuesdays.
- Canalino – Thank you Lord that this club has been approved and that the volunteers will be ready by early to mid October. We pray that many children will attend and come to you. Thank you for Jim who is willing to substitute when needed.
- Aliso – Thank you Lord that this club has been approved. We pray that you would provide a permanent classroom for this club.
- La Honda – We praise you that the new principal verbally approved this club, and that she is excited to see it get started. We pray for so many volunteers and children so that a new club in Lompoc can get started!
- We pray for Junior Youth Challenge in Carpinteria to start up this year at Carpinteria Middle School.
Other CEF prayers:
- Lord, thank you for our dedicated board. Grant them wisdom as they make important decisions.
- Lord, give pastors the desire to partner with CEF and to send us new volunteers so we can start new clubs and keep our current clubs running.
- Lord, thank you for a successful Super Seminar training where nearly 40 volunteers were trained to run Good News Clubsl
- Lord, we lift up the planning for our CEF Golf Tournament, which will take place on September 25. Thank you for the dedication of our Golf Committee, and for our generous sponsors.
