Good News Clubs
- SBUSD – Lord, we pray for the opportunity to advertise our clubs in ParentSquare so more SBUSD children can learn about and attend club.
- Adams – Thank you Lord for a sweet club last week. We pray that the kids they met in the MPR who took permission forms will decide to attend next week.
- Roosevelt – Lord, we continue to pray for your grace and mercy on this club. Multiply the number of kids who attend, and soften the principal’s heart to accept and promote the club.
- Washington – We praise you Lord that Washington GNC will be meeting at the desired time on Wednesdays right after school dismissal. Thank you for new volunteer Dawn who will be joining the team. Thank you that Cynthia is willing to run two clubs!
- Hollister – Thank you Lord for the 23+ children who are enrolled in Hollister club. We pray for open hearts ready to grow in the Lord. Thank you to Sharon who is subbing for Bonnie this week while Bonnie is in the Carolinas.
- Foothill – Praise the Lord that two boys from this club gave their lives to the Lord.
- Cleveland – Lord, give us wisdom on when to start this club. Please provide a team that can start very soon.
- Hope School – Thank you Lord that Hope GNC is up and running and that there are over 20 kids. We pray for a classroom for them to meet in all the time, but at least on rainy days.
- Brandon – Thank you for a great week of club and a strong volunteer team. Lord, thank you for the new kids who are signing up.
- Solvang – Lord, we thank you for a great club! We pray for one girl’s family situation and that nothing would keep her from coming to club. Lord, please find her a great church to attend. We pray for one of the volunteers as she deals with a difficult family situation.
- Canalino – Thank you for new volunteers Deb and Barbara. We pray they really enjoy volunteering in the club and that more children will attend.
- Aliso – We pray that you would provide a permanent classroom for this club as it may rain tomorrow. Bring many children to attend the club. Thank you for the dedicated team.
- La Honda – Lord, thank you for another successful club with more children enrolled. We pray for volunteer Veronica, whose family is going through a difficult time right now. Give Ana strength as she looks for new volunteers and considers opening a new club in Lompoc.
Other CEF prayers:
- Lord, thank you for our dedicated board. Grant them wisdom as they work through some important decisions about the CEF director position.
- We pray for Sharon, who is on a leave of absence, to get spiritually refreshed. Lord, we pray she can truly rest and not worry about ministry at this time.
- Lord, give pastors the desire to partner with CEF and to send us new volunteers so we can start new clubs and keep our current clubs running.
- Lord, we pray for our teacher training which will take place this Saturday. We pray that all attendees will gain new skills and that potential volunteers will feel led to join a Good News Club.
- Lord, we pray for Ana as she prepares for two harvest festival outreaches – one in Lompoc and another at Calvary Chapel SB! We pray for many children to hear the gospel and want to follow you.
*** CEF runs a special time of prayer for our ministries every Tuesday morning from 6:30-7:15am on Zoom. You are invited to participate by e-mailing Marina King for the Zoom link. Thank you, and we hope to see you there!
