General Information About Child Evangelism Fellowship
- We are a Bible-centered, worldwide organization that is dedicated to seeing every child reached with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, discipled and established in a local church.
- While CEF has been around for almost 80 years and is in over 175 countries, our local chapter is also going strong. With Good News Clubs® meet in schools from Goleta to Carpinteria on each day of the week. (Good News Clubs Calendar).
- We provide, free of cost, a 90 minute club each week for you child to attend. At this club there will be Bible Teaching, Missionary Stories, Games, Snacks and Prayer.
- No religious or spiritual training is required by either parents or children. Just a good attitude and an open heart.
- Parents are always welcome to attend a club that their child attends, but are asked to be a passive observer in order to maintain the integrity of the club. Please contact Colleen if you want to attend a club or have more questions.
- We provide trained and screened volunteers who care about your kids to teach and lead the clubs.
- Each volunteer submits to a background check.
- at least 4 hours of training, and continuing ongoing training.
- We have high quality curriculum and materials. For more on this visit CEF Press.
- No child will be allowed to attend a GNC without a completed current permission slip, no exceptions. Click here to print one.
Child Evangelism Fellowship Also Cares About…
- Discipling Children
Children must be established (discipled) in their Christian lives through the Word of God. They need to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” - Establishing children in Bible-believing churches
Evangelized children need to be in the local church where they can continue growing on a regular basis. In this way, CEF® serves the church and assists in the goal of church growth. - Involving other Christians in ministry to children
CEF®’s greatest need is for those who will see the fields which are “white unto harvest” and become involved in this outreach to children of the world.
